Suggesting circuits to visit not only encourages outings in the region but it also explains, describes and gives meaning to sites that appear ordinary because they are part of the everyday life of the local population.

For the team of the tourist information office, these visits are intended essentially for tourists but also for the local population for whom it is important to understand and know more about the surrounding landscapes. This is because understanding the reasons behind our daily life gives us an incentive to promote it. This is all the more important today given that the region is involved in ambitious plans such as the opening of Louvre-Lens in 2012 and the global recognition of the mining region by UNESCO. That's why we are developing our selection of guided tours year on year in order to promote our region as a real tourist destination.
